Here’s to New Adventures!

Happy New Years Eve! Crazy how time flies. This January, it will be 8 months in Florida.

My fiancé and I went over to his parents’ home few days before Christmas to celebrate, because my fiancé works on the eve. On Christmas day, two of us celebrated by cooking a turkey, watching the Disney Parks parade, NBA games, Christmas movies, and video-phoning with parents.

My dog, Elena has a yeast ear infection for a week now. I hope it will go away soon, because I don’t like to see her in pain. She shakes her head and scratches her ear a lot.

Only made one sale in December from my Etsy shop. Hopefully, 2012 brings me more sales! Already got started with Valentine’s Day items!

We will celebrate NYE at home watching the ball drop on TV.

Bucket List #237 Visit Busch Gardens:

My fiancé, his two brothers and I went to Busch Gardens in Tampa recently and it was a blast! Comparing to Disney World, Busch Gardens definitely have the best rides for adults. Seven roller coasters and a lot of fun attractions. We even pet kangaroos! While on rides, we can see wild life animals walking around on the ground.

What are you guys doing for NYE?!

Thanksgiving, Fiance, Etsy shop, Bucket List

Happy Thanksgiving! Life is good so far.

My fiancé and I will be going to his parents’ home for Thanksgiving tonight and come back tomorrow night after eating loads of food. I promised myself that I would start exercising and eat healthier after a day of bad food, but I usually give up. No motivation over here, since I am content with where my life is going. I feel a tad better because I am ‘healthier’ than my fiancé. He ate things that I am afraid of, because of what I learned in my nutrition classes.

Funny how I call Joe my fiancé, even when we are not getting married any time soon. What do I call him instead? Boyfriend? But we are much more than that, we share everything and we are basically married. Way later-to-be-husband? Maybe. We are thinking about getting a tiny tattoo on our ring fingers with the infinity symbol to show our commitment and love for each other.

My Etsy shop is going super good! Made NINE sales. So excited about that, because that means we have some extra income coming in. Joe is the only one working and I am still applying. I am thinking maybe I should settle for a lower position instead of being a baker, but I don’t want to do that because I have an associate degree and deserve to have an upper position. We will see.

Now… Did I complete anything from my bucket list? YEP! Not anything major, but we have been super busy.

Bucket List #233 Tampa Hard Rock Casino, #234 Ellenton Premium Outlets, #235 Brandon Westfield Mall, and #236 Tampa International Plaza.

We went up to Tampa to visit one of his old friends from NJ at Tampa Hard Rock Casino. It was a nice place, but not so much outside. Won $40! His friend suggested Tampa International Plaza (Mall), so we went afterwards. BEAUTIFUL! The plaza has stores that I shopped in Washington, DC and haven’t been to in a long time. Joe’s parents came for a visit last week, so we went to Ellenton Premium Outlets and Brandon Westfield Mall. Brandon Westfield Mall has a pretzel shop that I grew up eating from in Tucson, AZ but unfortunately closed down. The Pretzel Maker! My mom and I used to eat from there when it was raining, so it brought back some good memories. :)

Bucket List #70: Sell Crafts on Etsy.

Our Etsy shop finally made some sales! We are excited about that and are preparing for the holidays. Heard that a lot of people will be buying during the winter season for Christmas. We accomplished two goals with Etsy, one is to open up a shop and another is to make sales. We are stocking our shop with more items and hopefully we will have more than 100 items soon. Since my fiance is working, I am filling my days up with applying for jobs, playing with my dog, Elena and creating handmade goods.

Curious about our shop? Check here

Bucket List #138: Learn More About Wines.

My fiance works at the wine store and he gets to try variety of wines. He also brought back a ‘school textbook’ of information about wines and we get to learn about them. We got to try our first purchase from his work and it was Sexy Wine Bomb (red wine). It was really good and smooth. It will be a fun journey for us to start learning more about wines and become wine connoisseurs! We are really interested to learn how to make wines/beers from scratch, so we will find out where we can go and learn.

Busy like a bee.

Hello!

Haven’t been updating on here lately! Busy with making beach goods for our Etsy shop. All of our items are made with love and care. Our shop receive over 100 views daily, which is good… I think? No sales yet. We are optimistic that it will happen soon!

We currently have 20% off with the code, COLUMBUSDAY1 for any items in our shop that is available today and tomorrow.

We have been promoting our butts off for few days and it is fun to meet other people! A lot of people have passion for what they do and I look up to them. Hopefully, one day someone will look up to me!

If any of you guys are curious to see what we have in our shop and would like to support us..

Bucket List: Etsy

Bucket List #4: Create a Etsy shop to sell goods.

Currently, I am creating goods to sell on Etsy. I hope that it will be successful and it can be my hobby! I am obsessed with finding something interesting that I can do to earn money. I would love to have extra income coming in by doing something I enjoy and at my pace. My Etsy shop is all about beach coastal goods, mostly home decor and housewares. At first, I was nervous to register for a Etsy account because what if I didn’t succeed then it would be waste of time. However, I started to look around and decided why not? It would be worth the risk to try. Just like starting a blog, jet skiing for the first time, and achieving dreams. Shipping, handling, and packaging rates on Etsy are quite confusing. Once I get used to Etsy, it will be easy.

I ordered something off Etsy for the first time and it is on its way to me! I ordered a recycled Coke can guitar ornament to hang up on my Christmas tree.

I will let you guys know when I have goods posted up, so that you can view them and maybe buy them! ;) Anyone out there with a Etsy shop that would like to give me tips, please let me know!

[EDIT] I just posted a new listing! Check it out!

Versatile Blogger Award

I want to thank Marie Nagle Photography for nominating me for the Versatile Blogger Award! :)

In order to accept the award there are a couple of things that I must do:

1. You must give credit to the person that has nominated you and create a link to their blog in your post.
2. You must create a list of seven things about yourself.
3. You must create a list of 15 blogs that you enjoy most and link to those as well. Then you must go and tell them you have nominated them.

7 things about me:

1. I am engaged to the love of my life, Joe and have been with him for four years.

2. I created a bucket list few months ago and use this blog to document things that I completed on the bucket list. I have over 230 things I want to do and completed 29 so far.

3. If I could do anything in the world with unlimited money, I would love to live in a beach cottage right by the beach and travel all over the world. I also want to own a bakery, sell handmade stuff online, and invent something that make me successful.

4. I live in an apartment in Sarasota, FL with my fiancé, Joe and our dog, Elena. I was born and raised in Tucson, AZ, and now I am on the opposite side of the United States.

5. I am obsessed with food/nutrition. I love to educate myself about how to live healthy, eat good wholesome food, and how food impacts everything in people’s lives.

6. I am deaf! I have been that way since I was probably 18 months old. I don’t even speak or wear hearing aids. I rely on American Sign Language and ‘hearing’ gestures to communicate. The deaf community and deaf culture are HUGE and I am proud to be a part of it. I wish that all people would understand that deaf people don’t consider themselves DISABLED. We can do anything in the world, but we can’t hear. I am lucky enough that my family accepts me the way I am, deaf and all.

7. I love quotes, anything with words. Sentences, paragraphs, stories, etc. Words that and words this. Words motivates and inspires me to be a better person. I am bilingual and I want to learn more languages such as Spanish, Hungarian, and Italian.

Bucket List#23: Fireworks by the beach.

On July 4th, it was impossible to lure me away from watching the fireworks on the beach even when there was literally no parking spots left. Luckily, we (my fiancé, his parents and I) found a parking spot that required us to walk over the bridge and walk some more. My flip-flops and I stepped on Delray Beach’s sand and I saw hundreds, if not thousands of people sitting on the sand. Searched for a spot for us to sit down. Took pictures and the sun went down behind restaurants. Good night, sun. Hello, fireworks!
